Ben Leichtling, Ph.D.

Ben honed his personal and people skills for 27 years as a research scientist running his own enterprise within corporate entities. He was responsible for the success of all aspects of that enterprise - R&D, HR, financial, marketing, advertising, sales, and corporate relations. He then began a systematic stepwise transition away from the supposed stability and security of his previous training and success into the unknown - as a self-employed consultant, coach, presenter and therapist.

In 1988, while he was making that transition, he had two heart attacks in close succession. He did not agree to the bypass surgery his doctor recommended. Instead, he changed his attitudes, values, strategies, and behavior. Within a year of making that choice, he was free of physical damage. He has been fine ever since.

Ben now helps other people make their own transitions as smoothly as possible.

In addition to his research of great leaders, Ben's in-depth historical studies make all his work rock-solid. He has repeatedly seen leaders thrive during changes as rapid and far-reaching as those we face. He has discovered the core leadership qualities, attitudes and skills that consistently lead to success. These studies, his vast professional experience and his own changes give Ben's core message its practical power and lasting impact: "This is nothing new. Get on with it!"

Ben gives you the mental and emotional tools, and the down-to-earth people skills you need to thrive in today's world. He blends critical thinking and communication expertise from his 30 years of experience to rapidly resolve problems among individuals, teams, and organizations. He has written over 100 articles and his column now appears monthly in the Denver Business Journal. Knowledge TV recently featured him on a leadership segment of "You Inc."

Ben's wisdom, practical solutions, and energy catalyze your growth. He brings together uncommon, common sense, practical solutions and memorable stories in his dynamic and heart-felt presentations. He provides one-on-one assessment to help you figure out what you need to reach the next level. He also designs customized presentations and workshops as well as provides individual and team coaching.
