Responsible for development of comprehensive safety program elements and assisting departments in their implementation and follow-up processes.
- Developed OSHA legislative requirements as proposed rules became final and implemented compliance programs - Personal Protective Equipment, Mobile Equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Electrical Hazards and Fall Protection/Prevention.
- Provided OSHA required training to Divisions - Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Personal Protective Equipment,
& Mobile Equipment.

Contractor employees. Conducted bi-weekly tool box meetings and audited Contractor tool box
meetings on opposite weeks. Published a monthly Construction Safety Newsletter.
- Conducted accident investigations with the view of preventing recurrence and protecting Alcoa
from third party liability.
- Reduced Serious Injury Frequency rate from 5.85 (24 cases) to a 3.0 (6 cases) in a year and a half
time period (1.5 million man hours).
- Reduced Lost Work Day rate from 2.68 (11 cases) to 0 (0 cases) in a year and a half time period.

LOSS CONTROL REPRESENTATIVE
Responsible for maintaining clients and potential clients in a two state radius. Responsible for
providing timely, accurate information to the underwriting department and in-depth loss control
service to the insured.
- Conducted the following audits - workers compensation, general liability, automobile (fleet
or garage), and wall-to-wall property (fire/crime, manufacturing or non-manufacturing).
- Performed industrial hygiene sampling and special training requests.
